Nature Closeups 

I like to think of this series of photographs as Surround Bites -- optical  "sound bites" culled from the outdoor visual sphere through which we move.  The natural world is replete with such treats, but they are usually unassuming and easy to stroll past (or step on) without noticing.  If these images can open an eye or two to the usually -unnoticed visual treasures that embellish the everyday world around us, capturing them will have been worth every shutter-click.
